ìbarefeetì is a unique post-natal exercise class, for new mums and babies to enjoy special time together from 6 weeks to about a year, or until they are walking confidently unaided. The sessions promote physical fitness and mental health in mums and babies, develop confident handling, good parent-child bonding and the chance to meet like-minded mums in a warm and friendly environment.

How do we achieve this?

We do safe and gentle exercises, designed specifically for your body in the months after giving birth. These will help regain your figure and boost your strength and stamina. You do them with your baby, so you can also practise them together at home.

Within the same class, through music and movement, we offer stimulating fun for your baby, to help develop natural strength, balance and co-ordination.

Playing with your baby benefits their overall development. It also raises your confidence in handling them.

Finally, to relax you both, we'll teach you Baby Massage (birth to crawling) or games based on Baby Yoga (from crawling). The calming influence of both these techniques is well recognized, as well as being supremely beneficial for the health and well-being of your baby and increasing the loving parent-child bond between you.

Will I be in safe hands?

ìbarefeetî trainers have the highest level of expertise, being fully qualified in post-natal exercise and massage to Advanced level 3 of the Register of Exercise Professionals, the highest possible level currently attainable. They are also mothers themselves and well understand the stresses and strains of new parenthood.

Why barefeet?

We train in barefeet to maximise the safety of your child. It also promotes the sense of relaxation and freedom within this calm, yet rewarding environment.

Where are the classes?

Classes are now running in the Buckinghamshire area. Early booking is advised to secure your place.

Where did you hear about barefeet?


After having three children, exercise helped me regain my confidence and stamina and my whole family benefited from my improved cheerfulness! I set up barefeet Mother&Baby exercise classes because I wanted new mums to feel good about themselves, whilst learning to play and relax with their babies. I simply believe they're the best start you can give your baby, as well as yourself.
